Limits and attaching packs to assistants

Attaching a pack

A guardrail pack takes effect through an assistant, not across your workspace at once. There are two sides to this, and both are manual:

• When you create an assistant, choose a pack from its Guardrails field. A new assistant starts with no guardrail pack until you pick one. See Create and configure an assistant.
• When you create a guardrail pack, attach it to whichever assistants should use it. A new pack isn’t applied to anything on its own.

No assistant is guarded until you attach a pack

This includes the built-in Business Assistant — it starts with no pack attached, same as any assistant you create. Attaching guardrails is a deliberate step, so check each assistant’s Guardrails field rather than assuming it’s covered.

Turning a pack on or off

Each pack has its own on/off toggle. Turning a pack off stops it from being enforced on any assistant it’s attached to, without deleting its rules.

The Default pack counts toward this

Your built-in Default pack uses up one of these slots. On Solo, that means your one pack is the Default — there’s no room for an additional custom pack until you upgrade.
